The Halls of Residence aims to financially support or assist students, who because of their circumstances, might not otherwise be able to live or continue to live in the Halls community.

Scholarships and Bursaries are awarded to students in financial need, who may gain significant benefit from remaining at the Halls and who will be a valuable contributor to the Halls community.

These awards provide financial assistance by way of remission for part of the residential fees for The University of Queensland students living at the Halls of Residence, Gatton campus.

If students are the recipient of a current University of Queensland awarded scholarship, they must confirm the scholarship rules and conditions with UQ Scholarships before applying for a Halls Scholarship.
