The UQ Gatton Halls of Residence will remain open indefinitely and we are committed to supporting our current residents.

We understand that this is a worrying time for many. We want to assure our residents that we will continue to support students who wish to stay living in the Halls – this is your home.

We will also continue to provide the latest novel coronavirus (COVID-19) advice for members of the Gatton Halls community, including students, parents and staff.

In the meantime, contact your on-duty Resident Staff member if you have any concerns.

The health and wellbeing of our students and staff is our first priority.

As a precautionary response to slow the rate of community transition of COVID-19, we have put in place several measures at the Halls of Residence.

These include following government and medical advice on physical distancing, non-essential travel and self-isolation.

We have also stopped issuing guest passes.

The University’s incident management group is monitoring developments closely, and we will continue to update you as new information becomes available.
